Winter in Our Favorite Mountain Town

Around here, Winter is our favorite season. Snow transforms Jackson Hole into the ultimate outdoor playground and, no matter how dark and cold the season is, we're never quite ready when it all starts to melt. Visiting the valley this winter? Here's nine of our favorite winter activities around town you won't want to skip:

1. Head to a Moose Hockey Game for raucous fun with the locals.

2. Ice skate in Town Square amongst the lighted pines and antler arches.

3. Snowshoe in Grand Teton National Park from the Taggart Lake parking area.

4. Skin up Snow King to experience a winter wonderland and steep skiing.

5. Watch the sunset at Blacktail Butte and maybe you'll see a moose!

6. Grab a sandwich from Creekside and go for a drive.

7. Fat bike in Cache Creek with your dog and tire both of you out.

8. Grab a sloshie and hit the hot springs down at Astoria.

9. Strap on some cross country skis and take a slippery walk with friends.
